The 0.87€ stamps is in violet. There were other denominations released in this series with each in a different color.

I sort of randomly grabbed a pretty stamp from my collection of postcards for today's post. But, what I love about researching stamps is when something seems insignificant turns out to be significant. This stamp is a part of the first definitive stamp series in France to have all its denominations issued as self-adhesive.
